System
The System tab has two sections: Configuration and About. The Configuration section lets you adjust some settings for Flow, while the About section shows you information about your software versions and update status.
Configuration
MIDI Through
The MIDI Through setting determines whether Flow passes MIDI events through to other devices or blocks them.
- Default: Off.
Note Preview
The Note Preview setting determines whether you can hear a note when you change its pitch in the Trigger state. This is useful when you are working with sliced samples or drum kits, as it lets you audition the sound of each note.
The Note Preview only works when Ableton Live playback is stopped, so it won't interfere with your tracks. The previewed note will be played at a default velocity of 100.
- Default: On.
About
This section displays information about the Flow version you are currently running, your operating system and Max version, and the update status.
Update Indicator
Flow automatically checks for updates on startup, so you can enjoy the best possible experience with it.
If there is an update available, you will see a notification indicator on top of the System tab button that looks like a small circle. Simply click on the System tab button, download the new version and follow the installation guide.
We recommend that you always update Flow to the latest version as soon as possible, so you don't miss out on anything.
